Porsche 911 / Environment

CGI Automotive by Krisztina Vichnál, CGI & 3D artist in Budapest.

A CGI automotive environment study integrating a Porsche 911 into digital landscapes. The focus is on light matching, reflection accuracy and making the car feel naturally grounded in each setting.

Integration

Porsche 911 Environment is a CGI automotive rendering project focused on vehicle-environment integration, the challenge of placing a car within a landscape so that it reads as photographically real. The project explores how the 911's surfaces respond to outdoor light conditions: the way sky reflections move across the bodywork, how the environment's color palette influences the perceived paint color, and how ground-level reflections anchor the car within its setting.

Reflection

Reflection accuracy was the primary technical focus, ensuring that the car's bodywork captured the correct luminance, color, and distortion of its surroundings. HDRI environments were calibrated to match the ground plane lighting, and localized area lights were used where the HDRI alone couldn't provide sufficient definition on the car's surface.
